birthday_celebrate_celebration_269145_lShopping during the holidays can be a pain in the you know what, but if you know what eco-friendly gifts you are looking for, all that is left to do is to buy them. When you make a list of what you need, you can figure out where you need to buy your gifts without making numerous drives to the stores.

Fortunately, going green has become popular and many of the major stores will carry some green gifts. You will be able to find many of your eco-friendly Christmas gifts at common stores like Walmart and Target. A nice feature that Walmart has is its site to store delivery, which means that you can order gifts from their online store and have them shipped to your local store. This is eco-friendly because your presents are shipped along with whatever else the store needs to have in stock that week.

Recently, there has been some discussion about whether online shopping is eco-friendly or not. Obviously, the issue is excessive packaging and how far the package has to travel. However, do hit up the online stores for your eco-friendly needs, because you most likely will be able to get all of your gifts from one store. If you are able to buy three or more gifts from one online store, the packaging will be reduced. Plus, shippers like UPS are more efficient than consumers when it comes to getting the gift to where it needs to be. An important thing to remember is to buy your gifts ahead of time so you don’t have to rush the shipping. Also, don’t forget about Amazon, because you can find great deals and efficient gadgets like the Kindle, a wireless reading device that eliminates the need to buy paper books.

If you don’t want to shop online or travel far to find your green gifts, try shopping at a local natural food store. This is where you can buy a variety of organic and natural items and create a gift basket for your friends or family. A collection of various locally grown fruits can be a tasty and practical gift.

The places to buy eco-friendly gifts are endless. Just remember to look at the labels and find out where the product comes from and what it’s made from.

  2. I like the idea of eco-friendly Christmas shopping. But I also like online shopping. You give me some new thoughts.. I happened to find the DIsney fleece hat and glove set sell at $5. I immediately ordered one for my little brother. After 5 minutes when I finished my order, the lovely set in blue color has sold out. I feel very lucky to get the news from followsales.com early, or I will miss the deal, and miss a better and cheaper gift
